Analogies with current conflicts in Africa, the Middle East or indeed any other intractable clash of ideologies readily come to mind in the intelligent screenplay credited to Mark Bomback, Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver, the latter two the married co-writers of Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
